How to read this forecast
- The score (0–100) is how flat the water should be for efoiling: wind, gusts, chop and swell rolled into one number.
- Onshore wind (blowing towards the beach) builds chop fast; offshore wind keeps the water flat near the shore but pushes you out to sea.
- Chop is short wind-wave from local wind. Swell arrives from far away: short-period swell (3–5 s) is lumpy, a long-period roll barely registers on a foil.
- The dawn verdict only looks at first light to 2 h after sunrise and tells you when to set the alarm.
- 80–100 · Flat water. Go.
- 60–79 · Rideable, a bit of texture.
- 45–59 · Chop or swell. Experienced riders only.
- 0–44 · Too much wind or sea.
